Assistant Nurse Clinician

In addition to providing home nursing services, the incumbent will support one of the Nurse Clinicians (on a rotational basis, where applicable) in clinical leadership and operational responsibilities.

These include, but are not limited to:

. Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and coaching to nurses in the delivery of safe, quality and evidence-based patient care.

. Support the triaging of referrals and participate in case discussions to facilitate timely and appropriate care planning.

. Attend departmental and multidisciplinary meetings, and assist with operational and administrative matters.

. Respond to and manage clinical escalations from team nurses, providing guidance and support where required.

. Monitor nursing practices, workload distribution and resource utilisation, and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.

. Assist in the development, review and implementation of community nursing guidelines, clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.

. Support staff performance management by identifying learning and development needs, facilitating competency development and promoting continuous professional growth.

. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits and projects to enhance clinical outcomes and patient safety.

. Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications

. Registered Nurse with at least 7 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute hospital and/or community care setting.

. Possess at least an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (any discipline).

. Demonstrated good performance with no active performance improvement plans or disciplinary issues.

. Demonstrates leadership potential, good clinical judgement, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
