Position:
Assistant National Team Coach (Billiard)
Job Type: Part-Time (1-year Contract)
Years of Experience: 5 years of prior coaching experience with elite, national or state athletes preferred.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Possess a formal coaching certification(s) in sport and/or allied coaching areas. Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Sport Coaching or related program.
- Possess relevant sport-specific coaching certification a minimum Cuesports Continentals or Cuesports coaching related certification recognized by Cuesports Singapore.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant applications
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Job Description:
Cuesports Singapore seeks an Assistant National Team Coach (Billiard) who would be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, preparation, and performance of the athletes.
The role focuses on supporting and assisting the High-Performance Committee in planning, delivery and monitoring of High-Performance program and competitive outcomes, athletes development, and building a positive team culture, while in alignment with Cuesports Singapore's high-performance framework and national sporting objectives.
The Assistant National Team Coach (Billiard) will report to the General Manager (GM) and the High-Performance Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Competitive Performance
- Assist the High-Performance Committee in planning, delivering and implementing the High-Performance Training Program and competition plans aligned with organization frameworks, for the National Team and Development Squad athletes.
- Provide match-day coaching support for in-competition adjustments, as assigned.
- Support the High-Performance Committee to conduct pre-competition performance planning and post-competition review and analysis, where required.
Athlete Development
- Support athletes technical, physical, tactical, and mental development under the direction of the High-Performance Committee.
- Provide regular feedback, guidance, and performance reviews.
- Assist in maintaining athlete progression records and performance benchmarks.
- Assist in identifying emerging talent within development and grassroots pathway.
- Support athletes development program for junior and intermediate athletes.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Uphold and role model organizational values and ethics, including Safe Sport and anti-doping education initiatives.
- Contributes positively to maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture and coaching environment
- Establish clear standards of behavior, professionalism, and accountability.
- Assist the High-Performance Committee in managing team dynamics, discipline, and communication effectively.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with the High-Performance Committee to ensure alignment of coaching methodologies and technical direction.
- Engage respectfully and communicate effectively with colleagues, athletes, officials. and parents, where applicable.
- Liaise with support staff including sport science, administration, and operations teams, as required.
- Participate in coaching meetings, technical discussions, and program reviews.
Program & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining athlete attendance, training records, and performance logs.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and organizational policies.
- Support the preparation of required reports, training summaries, and evaluations on time
- Contribute inputs for monthly or quarterly performance reporting, when required.
- Support national program and initiatives as directed by the High-Performance Committee or General Manager.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
