Job Description

At Sephora, beauty is about feeling seen, valued, and empowered, individually and collectively. It is connecting deeply with others, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, unlocking your potential and making a difference every day. Together, we belong to something beautiful.

Sephora SEA's omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).

The Opportunity

As part of the regional team based in Singapore, you will play a key role as a UX Designer in shaping user experiences across Sephora's digital ecosystem spanning eight markets in Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, developers and other designers to create seamless and engaging user journeys. You'll take ownership of the end-to-end product design process from discovery and research through concept development, prototyping, delivery, and post-launch optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define UX strategy, roadmaps, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end product design initiatives across multiple workstreams, from discovery and research through execution and delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and impact.
  • Direct line manager to the UX team members. Provide design leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level designers, offering guidance, feedback, and support to elevate team capability and design maturity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Stakeholders, Product, Engineering) in an Agile environment to deliver user-centered solutions that achieve project objectives.
  • Plan and lead user research and usability testing efforts; synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform product and design decisions.
  • Influence product direction by presenting design strategies, trade-offs, and data-backed recommendations to senior stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Ensure design excellence at scale using Figma, setting best practices for components, auto-layout, prototyping, and documentation across web and app platforms.
  • Own and contribute to the evolution of Sephora's Design System, ensuring consistency, accessibility, scalability, and alignment with brand and business goals.
  • Advocate for user needs while balancing commercial objectives, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement of UX processes, workflows, and standards to improve efficiency and design outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, or a related role, with demonstrated leadership on complex projects.
  • Strong multi-platform design expertise across iOS, Android and Web with experience designing for scale.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, auto-layout, prototyping, and collaboration workflows.
  • Deep understanding of UX research methodologies, usability principles, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in retail, e-commerce, or beauty/lifestyle brands.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing designers.
  • Working knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience contributing to or scaling enterprise-level design systems.

Here, You Will Find

  • Community, in which authenticity is embraced, and the strength of our differences fuels our collective spirit.
  • Culture of empowerment, learning & growth, that offers you the tools, space and opportunity to learn, innovate and lead.
  • Work that brings fulfilment, from delighting clients every day, to inspiring our industry at large, every action makes a difference.

It is in the Sephora DNA to champion a world of inspiration and inclusion where everyone can celebrate their beauty. You can be yourself, because you are what sets us apart. Join us and belong to something beautiful.
