The client of ours is one of the Largest Retail businesses in Singapore. They are now expanding their supply chain team in Singapore and is looking for an ambitious Assistant Manager that has hands on experience in Transport Management System. This is a transformation role, and you'll be responsible to drive the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Transport Management Systems (TMS) from a functional supply chain standpoint. You are required to translates business requirements into functional solutions, supports change management and user adoption, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and system performance with strong stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Systems Implementation & Process Improvement
- Support the implementation, migration, and enhancement of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and related supply chain applications.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate business processes, transport workflows, and operational requirements
- Ensure system configurations accurately support business-specific operational requirements, including delivery windows, loading bay constraints, routing rules, and transport planning processes.
- Assist with data migration activities, including data extraction, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation between legacy and cloud-based systems.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and user guides to support system adoption and continuous improvement.
2. Supply Chain Operations Support & Analytics
- Utilize SQL and reporting tools to generate operational insights, investigate transport exceptions, and validate data across supply chain systems.
- Monitor data integrity between the TMS and integrated enterprise systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Provide first-line functional support to transport planners, warehouse operations, and business users by troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolutions.
- Analyze operational data to identify process improvement opportunities, enhance transport performance, and support business decision-making.
- Support ongoing system enhancements through testing, validation, and post-implementation reviews.
3. Cross-Functional Business Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, IT, and external vendors to ensure system capabilities align with operational requirements.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology partners.
- Coordinate with SaaS vendors and implementation partners during project delivery, issue resolution, and change requests.
- Support change management activities, including user training, stakeholder communication, and rollout planning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, service levels, and system utilization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or knowledge of supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, route optimization, fleet management, and last-mile delivery.
- Familiarity with enterprise supply chain systems such as ERP, TMS, or WMS, including participation in system implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
- Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and an understanding of cloud-based platforms, system integrations, APIs, and middleware concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting/analytics tools.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, logistics, or e-commerce environments, with knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma considered an advantage.
