You will be responsible for supporting the Training Head/ Lead and Physiology Training Officer (PTO) in the conduct of Aviation Physiology Training (APT) utilizing APT simulators and be able to perform the role of altitude chamber safety man.
Responsibilities:
- Competent in twelve specialized training support roles to be performed as part of a training team in supporting the Physiology Training Officer (PTO) in the conduct of the Aviation Physiology Training (APT) utilizing advanced APT simulators.
- Competent in performing chamber safetyman role. The expected training support roles are as follows
(a) Operator, Training Support Specialist 1, Gondola Assistant and Training Support Specialist 2 for the conduct of Human Training Centrifuge training
(b) Operator, Training Support Specialist 1, and Training Support Specialist 2 for the conduct of Ejection Seat Trainer training
(c) Operator, Safetyman 1 or 2 for the conduct of Altitude Chamber training
(d) Gondola Assistant for the conduct of Spatial Disorientation training
(e) Operator for the conduct of Night Vision Trainer training
(f) Operator for the conduct of Somatogyral Turntable training
- Competent in basic first aid and resuscitation drills
- Competent in use of basic computer software for course administration, report preparation, roster preparation etc.
- Support Administrative functions. Identify areas for incremental improvements and solve urgent problems
- Anticipate potential problems, source and manage available resources effectively and see through the solutions
- Conduct a proper and safe Aviation Physiology Training (APT) with the team while supporting the Physiology Training Officer (PTO)
- Support the Physiology Training Officer (PTO) in the conduct of an efficient, effective and well-organised Aviation Physiology Training (APT)
- Ensures that the advanced APT simulators are safe and in good working order/condition in accordance to Aviation Industry Standards before conducting any training sessions
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline
- Prior experience in healthcare-related industry or military aviation will be an advantage
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Need to obtain at least a CAT 2 Mindef G50 clearance.
- Prior experience in operating training simulators will be an advantage
