Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Assistant Manager/Senior Executive will oversee the tours portfolio while contributing to the growth of the Singapore Sports Museum and placemaking initiatives at the Sports Hub. The role is responsible for managing, conceptualising, coordinating, and delivering a mix of existing and new venue, arts and heritage tours and programmes that enrich visitor experiences, strengthen community engagement, and enhance the vibrancy of the precinct. It calls for both strategic input and hands-on execution, blending creativity with stakeholder collaboration and effective project management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of existing and new immersive storytelling arts, heritage, and venue tours, ensuring engaging experiences for schools, community groups, tourists, and diverse audiences.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of school and corporate group visits, ensuring tailored experiences, smooth operations, and strong relationships with institutional partners.
- Support the development, design, coordination, and delivery of placemaking and outreach projects such as exhibitions, arts-related programmes, and community activations, ensuring alignment with the Kallang Alive placemaking strategy and Sports Hubs long-term vision.
- Conduct research and content development in emerging trends of arts, culture, heritage, sports and lifestyle, integrating insights into new initiatives and programming.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder and partner relationships, including government agencies, cultural institutions, schools, and community organisations, to enhance collaboration and programme impact.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including Marketing & Communications, on the development and dissemination of marketing, publicity, and outreach materials.
- Guide the evaluation of programmes and initiatives, including designing feedback mechanisms, analysing results, and generating insights to inform improvements and future planning.
- Ensure effective documentation and archiving of project records, content files, and multimedia assets for institutional memory and reference.
- Provide secretariat and project leadership support during meetings and working groups, ensuring action items and outcomes are tracked and delivered.
- Support and, where required, lead special projects, pilots, or events that advance the Fans & Community Engagement strategy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing outreach programmes that engage diverse public audiences.
- Familiarity with, or direct experience in, museums, galleries, or arts and cultural institutions, with an understanding of sector practices and challenges.
- Strong research, writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with confidence in engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
- Creative and adaptable, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead initiatives independently while collaborating effectively in team settings.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is advantageous.
- Availability and willingness to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays, depending on the nature and schedules of the programmes.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Arts Management/Arts Education/History/Social Sciences/ Events Management/Hospitality or museum/gallery-related fields.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant working experience preferred.
- Keen interest in arts, culture, heritage, museums, galleries and sports.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
- Self-driven and adaptable, with the resilience to perform under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
