Job Description

The Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager will lead the end-to-end project management of an innovation initiative at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), scaling an AI-powered digital health solution at the national level. Working in close partnership with the Project Director, this role is responsible for driving the project from a validated prototype to a large-scale, enterprise-grade service. It includes collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of the solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive all project management activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and the timely achievement of all deliverables and milestones.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, proactively identify and mitigate project risks, oversee project budget, and identify funding opportunities as needed
  • Draft, review, and negotiate project agreements and contracts
  • Manage procurement processes to ensure compliance and the timely acquisition of resources.
  • Lead engagements with senior stakeholders, vendors and community partners across all project phases, including IT architecture design and implementation, model development and validation, software and user interface development, workflow validation, and impact assessment
  • Obtain endorsements and approvals from management and governance committees
  • Oversee all quality assurance and regulatory affairs activities to secure product registration in Singapore, ensuring adherence to medical device standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
  • Facilitate solution adoption in the community and conduct post-market surveillance activities to monitor the performance, safety, and effectiveness of implemented solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating continuous improvement
  • Coordinate closely with the clinical research team to ensure the research and data collection components are seamlessly integrated with the overall project timeline, budget, and objectives.
  • Prepare, validate, and manage project data to support analysis, reporting, and decision-making
  • Support publication efforts in journals and conferences
  • Contribute to publicity and media releases to promote project achievements and impact
  • Manage project governance and documentation, including coordinating and leading project meetings, maintaining clear minutes and action items, and maintaining central project repository
  • Support commercialisation efforts:
  • Contribute to the development of business plans, financial models, and pitch decks for stakeholders and potential partners
  • Adapt and manage the technical documentation and quality management system to support future regulatory submissions in overseas markets
  • Coordinate intellectual property protection and patent filing activities where applicable
  • Support the development and management of strategic partnerships to support commercialisation in overseas markets, including identifying potential collaborators, negotiating agreements, and facilitating market entry

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in project management, innovation, healthcare, or technology sectors, with a proven track record of leading complex, large-scale projects
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with IT architecture solution design, software development lifecycles, and commercialisation is preferred
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in a clinical or research environment, particularly on projects involving human-subjects data, would be a strong asset.
