Assistant Manager - Sea Freight

Job Responsibilities

. Develop freight shipment solutions for improvements and/or closing gaps
. Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, freight fowarders and port authorities to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers
. Monitor lapses in delivery of logistics services to customers
. Implement intervention strategies to mitigate gaps in delivery of logistics services
. Communicate to employees on the variations in rating principles, states as well as operator variations
. Manage carrier ranking or customer priority system to ensure strategic business is protected during periods of capacity shortage
. Manage teams in the workplace
. Develop measures to improve vendor management capability in the organization

Job Requirements

. 5-8 years of relevant experience will be preferred
. Able to work on weekend when required
. Able to travel to customer sites when needed
