Job Description

Key Responsibilities (Assistant Manager, Sales)

Business Development & Sales

  • Lead the identification, engagement, and development of new customers in the maritime sector, including shipowners, shipyards, system integrators, operators, and ports.
  • Promote battery energy storage solutions, hybrid power systems, and related products/services.
  • Oversee the sales cycle for assigned opportunities, from lead generation and presentations to proposals, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Support and mentor sales team members on customer engagement and opportunity management.

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities in target regions.
  • Provide actionable market insights and recommendations to support pricing strategies, product positioning, and business development plans.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries, proposals, and coordination of after-sales support.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through timely follow-up and issue resolution.

Joint Venture & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support the implementation and improvement of sales processes, reporting structures, and governance frameworks for the joint venture.
  • Collaborate with partners, designers, and technical teams to align customer requirements with commercially viable solutions.

Commercial& Contract Support

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions in line with company policies.
  • Support contract discussions, ensuring commercial terms are compliant and aligned with internal policies.

Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Provide timely sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
  • Track KPIs, monitor progress against targets, and contribute to achieving annual sales objectives.
