We are looking for a hands-on Quality Controller / Quantity Surveyor (QS) to directly oversee construction, renovation, and maintenance works for family-owned properties in Singapore. The role requires someone with strong technical knowledge, cost control experience, and the ability to be physically present on-site to monitor quality and progress. You will work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site inspections to check workmanship, materials, and adherence to technical specifications.
- Monitor ongoing renovation and construction works, ensuring compliance with Singapores building codes and safety standards.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and progress claims, verifying contractor quotations and variations.
- Track project timelines and ensure schedules are met, reporting delays or issues promptly.
- Liaise directly with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical or quality problems on-site.
- Ensure rectification works are carried out effectively and to required standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and cost control documentation.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to family office management.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven hands-on experience as a QS / Quality Controller in Singapore (Malaysia experience is a plus).
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, fit-out works, and quality control procedures.
- Familiar with Singapores building codes, safety standards, and authority requirements.
- Skilled in cost estimation, budget management, and contractor claim verification.
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and practical problem-solving approach.
- Able to work independently, with high integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
