ASSISTANT MANAGER (PROJECT COORDINATION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT) - BIOGAS
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven professional to coordinate the development, execution, and management of biogas projects. The candidate will serve as the primary interface, representing Vista Contracting & Investment Global (a fully-owned subsidary of Samsung C&T Corporation), with other stakeholders and ensure projects move from development stage through to successful EPC completion and operation stage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of Ongoing Projects
- Coordinate biogas project activities and track critical project milestones and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Currently 10 ongoing biogas projects across India through an SPC
- Track critical milestones to ensure timely delivery eg (capital injection phase etc.)
- Interface with both internal stakeholders – Seoul Office, Project Office(s), Project Team(s) and external stakeholders – banks, external consultants, Authorities, etc.
- Manage all project records and internal resolutions in compliance with Company and SPC governance and regulatory requirements
New Business Development & Market Expansion
- Conduct market intelligence on potential clients/partners, competitors, and industry players on biogas sector
- Conduct market feasibility studies and monitor trends in the biogas and broader renewable energy sectors to support investment decisions and look for project opportunities and potential partners across APAC
- Familiarization with procedures on foreign investments, project financing and capital injection in APAC countries, primarily Southeast Asia
- Assist negotiations with government agencies, partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders, particularly in biogas project planning and approvals
- Work closely with Seoul office and other branch offices and support on documentations on new market and opportunity proposals
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- At least 3 years experience in project coordination, ideally in renewable energy, waste-to-energy, biogas projects
- Prior involvement in EPC in biogas projects is advantageous
- Understanding of anaerobic digestion technologies and biogas upgrading processes
- Possess excellent communication, presentation (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Strong problem-solving skill with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural or multi-stakeholder environment
- Occasional travel may be required
