Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • To establish new partnerships and nurture existing partnerships with stakeholders in the community.
  • To work as a team to plan and execute fundraising strategies to raise the necessary funds to support the cause, and to build relationship with donors.
  • To take responsibility for assigned fundraising projects and activities, with start to end follow through.
  • To apply for funding and ensure accountability of donations received by APSN through the approved platforms.
  • To proactively identify, prospect and cultivate new corporate partners, family offices, foundations and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) to grow and diversify APSN's funding pipeline.
  • To lead grant strategy, research funding opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals and applications to trusts, foundations, family offices and grant-making bodies.
  • To work synergistically with Communications to develop marketing collateral and create content for communication platforms to increase mindshare, and promote events and campaigns.
  • To manage partner and donor database, and maintain regular communication with them.
  • To plan, organise and execute fundraising events, campaigns, partner engagement events and CSR activities to meet annual fundraising targets.
  • To oversee outings for students/trainees/clients in collaboration with external service providers, relevant government agencies, corporate partners and community partners.
  • To support the Schools, Centres and Shared Services on their needs in the areas of partnerships, fundraising and volunteerism.
  • To be involved in any other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Mass Communication or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in fundraising, partnerships, grant writing and events management.
  • Strong presentation skills and communication skills.
  • Familiar with prospect research, CRM/donor database and grant management tools to support pipeline building and proposal tracking.
  • Familiar with MS Office, Google Drive, and presentation software.
  • Attention to details, with the ability to work independently and in a team, to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and networking skills with the ability to nurture relationships with stakeholders of varying levels.
  • Positive outlook with a can-do attitude.
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, innovative, committed and driven, with focus on fundraising and partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial, hunter mindset with the confidence and polish to open doors with C-suite executives, family office principals and foundation trustees, and the resilience to handle cold outreach and rejection in pursuit of new funding.
  • Strong proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written. A second language will be an added advantage.
