The Assistant Manager, Tax will assist with local direct and indirect tax matters in compliance with tax regulations and act as a key contact for the review of tax disclosure, filings and disputes faced by the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and preparation of local direct and indirect tax filings in accordance to the tax requirements, including working with stakeholders to advise and ensure compliance with all tax disclosures, tax filings and reporting requirements
• Act as the key point of contact for any reviews by / any disputes with tax authorities
• Provide insight and trends around global tax and/or transfer pricing development, and assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing tax planning opportunities
• Review work processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Proactive Tax business partnering with finance, operations and commercial teams
• Oversee the Group's preparation to comply with upcoming tax developments such as BEPS Pillar Two implementation
• Conduct tax workshops to educate Finance and other departments within PIL

MUST HAVE:

• Educational background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications: Chartered Accountant, Accredited Tax Practitioner / Advisor or relevant professional certification.
• Professional experience and responsibilities: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a tax professional, demonstrating a progressively responsible career growth.
