Job Summary

The Assistant Manager (Operations) will lead daily operations at Metta Home for the Disabled, ensuring efficient facility management, team supervision, and high-quality service delivery for residents with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations and maintain facilities to ensure a safe, efficient environment for residents and staff
  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, equipment, and operational processes to support uninterrupted service delivery
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and service quality
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to drive continuous improvement and meet organizational goals
  • Plan and execute operational policies and initiatives aligned with the evolving needs of Metta Home
  • Manage operational budgets, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate audit processes to ensure financial and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise the operations team by reviewing performance and enforcing high service standards
  • Provide training and support to staff to promote best practices and professional growth in service delivery
  • Participate in recruitment, staff training, and performance management to build a competent operations team
  • Assist in designing and delivering in-house training programs to support continuous professional development
  • Develop and enhance administrative systems, policies, and procedures to improve operational workflows
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on operational performance to management for informed decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with Fire, Workplace, and Health Safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
  • Manage transport requests and supervise the team of drivers to ensure timely and safe transportation services
  • Plan and implement new services to address the changing needs of residents and the Home
  • Support oversight of daily operations for the Home Day Care Activity and Allied Health teams to ensure integrated care delivery

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Social Service Sector or related fields working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management or related fields, or a degree/master's in Psychology or related fields
  • Experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a home setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
