Job Title: Assistant Manager (Office of Student Life)

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end internship processes and course administration.
  • Work with industry partners and internal stakeholders to provide appropriate internship opportunities for students.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employer and student matters, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Handle all administrative tasks and authorization required for internships to commence.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure timely submission and grading of deliverables.
  • Provide periodic updates/reports to track progress and effectiveness of internships.
  • Address issues that may arise during internships by working with internal stakeholders to find mutually beneficial solutions for both students and industry partners.
  • Work with stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives in line with the College's expectations, ensuring compliance within prescribed timelines, student interests, and safety and health standards.
  • Support key College life and career-related events and activities. This includes budgeting, liaising with vendors and stakeholders, booking venues, publicity, managing the event from set-up, actual day to teardown, as well as post-activity follow-ups.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects, as well as college and departmental events, as required.
  • Support other routine duties such as responding to student queries, room booking, logistics, etc., and assist with other tasks and duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Degree (Good Honours) or above from a recognized university.
  • Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to details.
  • Proficient in Excel and adept at working with data.
  • Proven experience in managing programmes or similar is ideal.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and to interact with people of varying levels and backgrounds.
