Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing and outreach:
    • Contribute to the Office of Admissions and Financial Assistance's undergraduate marketing & outreach efforts, including leading social media campaigns, developing marketing collaterals and supporting signature events.
  • Data analysis and reporting:
    • Analyse admissions data to support SMU's overall admissions strategies and contribute to analytics reports and strategic papers.
  • Business development:
    • Grow strong relationships with key partner schools in Singapore and overseas, including participating in school fairs, organizing school visits, interacting with prospective students, parents and teachers both locally and overseas. Overseas travel is a necessary component of the role.
  • Admissions operations:
    • Support the Admissions team's selection and admissions processes during the applications season, including applicant shortlisting, liaising with applicants, and interview scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with at least 2 to 3 years of work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in social media marketing and a strong understanding of local and international marketing trends across social media platforms and with Gen-Z target audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics and data visualisation, advanced Microsoft Excel functions and statistical software.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across different projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to respond to different types of personalities.
  • Strong interest in the higher education industry, as well as in engaging with pre-university students and parents.
  • Willingness to work on weekends for events and interviews.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is a requirement as this role involves marketing and communications work with the China market.

Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
