JOB OUTLINE
Weare currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Finance Division (Treasury and Accounting). Our Finance Division delivers statutory and internal management reports, and analyzes results to suggest required actions to the management. We also provide shared services to NYK Group companies. The candidate must be an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual with real passion for accounting. He/she will need to work closely with different business segments and HQ's various sections in Tokyo to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
The candidate is required to be bilingual in both English and Japanese language, with a proficiency level equivalent to JPLT N2 of the Japanese proficiency test in listening, speaking, reading and writing to communicate with Japanese clients and Tokyo HQ.
Candidate is responsible to ensure that the project management and service delivery in Finance Division of NGSA are in compliance with NYK Group Credo and business policies. The candidate also oversees liquidity management of NYK Group companies in Singapore, and supports regional companies on statutory compliance with NYK Group standards in South Asia and Oceania regions. He/she reports to the Director of NGSA and HQ's Finance Group in Tokyo.

Working days: Mondays to Fridays with flexibility to travel on weekends when required.
Working hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm
Qualifications: Diploma / Degree in Finance and Accounting, Law, Economics, Political Science, International Relations or relevant discipline
Salary: S$9,000 to S$18,000depending on experience

Your duties essential for the job:
. Support decision making of the Finance Director and lead the Finance Division (Treasury & Accounting) by providing directions and necessary support to the entire team.
. Engage with internal and external stakeholders in South Asia and Oceania regions by coordinating global projects sponsored by the HQ.
. Manage financial forecasting and budget processes, and overseeing preparation of all financial reporting.
. Provide advice on financial planning and commercial insights to group companies in the regions to attain their business plan targets.
. Ensure that risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for day-to-day finance and accounting activities in the group.
. Establish and develop relations with stakeholders, senior management of group companies and external partners such as finance institutions.
. Collect finance and accounting information in the region from time to time, and share it with group companies and HQ.
. Any other duties related to this role.
Basic requirements:
. Diploma or Degree in Finance and Accounting, Law, Economics, Political Science, International Relations or related discipline.
. Strong knowledge of cash flow management and financing arrangements.
. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS), consolidated financial statements and management accounting.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Japanese in order to communicate with group companies and Tokyo HQ.
. Proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or above is preferred as the role requires regular communication with Japanese speaking customers and associates, group companies and Tokyo Headquarters.
. Ability to travel internationally as required to support business operations and stakeholder engagement.
