[What the role is]
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual to be part of the team overseeing the operation and maintenance of Choa Chu Kang Complex, comprising Choa Chu Kang Cemetery, Crematorium, and Columbarium. In this role, you will support the Senior/Executive Manager in managing a range of facilities and operational contracts across a large and complex, public-facing environment. You will work closely with contractors, internal stakeholders, and external agencies to ensure that services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
[What you will be working on]
You Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Support implementation of maintenance regimes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and service standards
- Monitor facilities conditions, follow up on defects and rectification works
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements
- Coordinate with contractors and track work progress against specifications
- Verify completed works and support payment processing
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
- Handle public feedback and assist in resolving operational issues
- Support Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) practices and site compliance
- Prepare reports for Senior Management, perform duties during special festivals and peak periods, and contribute to other project work and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Building Services or related discipline
- Professional certifications in facilities management, project management, or contract administration would be advantageous
- 3 – 5 years of experience in facilities, infrastructure or building operations management
- Experience in government operations, public service delivery, and regulatory compliance would be beneficial
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, given the diverse nature of after-death service users
- Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking abilities for complex operational challenges and emergency situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Willing to work in an after-death care service environment, including on weekends, public holidays, and after office hours when required
