[What the role is]
In the Sanitation and Industry Policy Department (SIPD) under the Public Health Operations Policy Division (PHOPD), you will be part of the team that develops and reviews policies to improve the cleanliness and standards of public toilets in Singapore. This includes formulating policies, reviewing sanitary facilities requirements under the Code of Practice for Environmental Health (COPEH), reviewing outcomes of the Environmental Sanitation Regime, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen public toilet standards and outcomes.

You Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Formulate and review public toilet policies, including sanitary facilities requirements under the COPEH
- Review existing policies and develop new policy initiatives to address emerging public toilet and sanitation challenges
- Engage and work closely with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners and premises owners, to align policy requirements and facilitate implementation
- Partner operations divisions on policy implementation and enforcement matters
- Respond to and manage public and internal queries on public toilet cleanliness, sanitary facilities requirements and related policy matters
- Conduct policy research and analyse data, trends and stakeholder feedback to support policy review and development
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations and correspondences for management
- Assist in any other duties assigned

- Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear policy papers, reports and presentations
- Mature, proactive, meticulous and resourceful, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Confident in engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and able to build consensus and facilitate stakeholder buy-in
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in policy development, policy implementation, regulatory work or stakeholder engagement will be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
