Roles & Responsibilities

KidSTART Singapore Ltd. (KSL) was incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) in Sep 2020 to implement the KidSTART programme nationwide. The KidSTART programme provides upstream support to children from low-income families in the areas of early childhood development, health and social support.

Description of Division/Branch

You will be part of the Corporate Development team providing a suite of corporate services in Finance & Administration, Human Resource, Data Management and IT services to ensure smooth running of the office. As one of the team members in Finance and Administration you will work closely with other branches in the organisation, engage with funders and stakeholders across Government and non-Government agencies, and work closely with senior management to forecast and anticipate evolving needs of the organisation.

Job Description

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers to secure favourable terms to meet KSL's procurement needs.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to Procurement policy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast and plan to procure goods and services at the right quantity and time.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for planning of inventory and arrangement of delivery to meet KSL's operational needs.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, verify supplier invoices and delivery notes for all purchases and deliveries.
  • Arrange transport with suppliers and 3rd party logistics service providers for deliveries and timely replacements for faulty items.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve processes.
  • Develop and maintain inventory records and track usage patterns.
  • Participate in other supply chain related tasks/projects as may be assigned.


Requirements and skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain related roles.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP system.
  • Possess good communication and analytical skills.
