[What the role is]
Join NEA's Hawker Centres Group (HCG) and help preserve Singapore's iconic hawker culture whilst driving innovation and productivity improvements across our hawker centres! You will be part of the Hawker Trade Development Department within HCG's Policy, Planning and Engagement Division (PPED), to design strategies and plan multi-year programmes that aligns with NEA's objectives, enhancing the livelihoods of hawkers, ensuring the sustainability of this integral part of Singapore's hawker culture.
[What you will be working on]
- Review and implement trade programmes for aspiring hawkers and existing hawkers to sustain the hawker trade, including developing programme frameworks and overseeing end-to-end implementation
- Plan and administer hawker trade programmes which includes conducting evaluations, interviews, stall visits, data analysis and managing public enquiries
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct programme reviews, identify improvement areas, and develop evidence-based recommendations to enhance programme effectiveness and relevance
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders to create a collaborative ecosystem supporting hawker trade development
- Plan and facilitate engagement sessions, including leading ground engagement activities and mass briefings with stakeholders on initiatives and programmes
- Manage procurement processes for required services, including preparing specifications, administering contracts, and ensuring compliance with prevailing procurement guidelines
[What we are looking for]
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in strategic programme planning and development, stakeholder engagement, and/or customer service.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
- Collaborative team player who is resourceful, meticulous, and self-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires managing multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong written communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
