We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager/ Manager to support financial reporting, budgeting, and finance operations across the Group. The role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements, while also supporting corporate initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting and analytical capabilities, able to work effectively with internal stakeholders, auditors, tax advisors, and business units in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with business units on financial projections
- Upload information data for consolidation and prepare management reports for budget variance analysis
Monthly Accounting & Close Support
- Assist in the preparation and posting of monthly journal entries for entities
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including investments, intercompany balances, loans, accruals, ensuring completeness and proper supporting documentation
- Support month end close activities by preparing schedules and analysis for review by the Group Finance team.
Financial Reporting & Statutory Support
- Prepare and deliver the audited financial statements for entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
- Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedule
- Assist with population of financial schedules and management reports
- Support audit related matters including preparation of audit schedules, drafting of responses, and collation of supporting documentation
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with preparation of tax supporting schedules
- Support tax filings and statutory submissions
- Assist with XBRL filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare and deliver the audited financial statements for entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
- Liaise with external auditors for audits and manage XBRL filing.
- Submit quarterly GST filings and support corporate tax filings, including liaising with tax agents and reviewing tax computations.
Corporate Initiatives
- Support the assessment of accounting impacts and provide finance execution support for new business or corporate initiatives
Finance Operations and System Improvement
- Assist in finance and system-related projects aimed at continuous improvement of work processes.
- Collaborate with corporate secretarial teams on director's resolutions related to financial operations
Others
- Perform other duties as assigned and any other work exigencies that may arise and as requested by the Company.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a Group or listed company environment.
- Strong experience in financial reporting and preparation of audited financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Good knowledge of SFRS/IFRS, statutory reporting, GST, corporate tax, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in managing external audits, including liaising with auditors, preparing audit schedules, and addressing audit queries.
- Familiarity with XBRL filing requirements and statutory financial statement submissions.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting, including budget variance analysis.
- Proficient in Excel and financial/accounting systems, with experience in Oracle, Hyperion systems being essential
- Prior work experience in a listed company is essential.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, finance processes, and corporate governance requirements.
- Experience in finance systems implementation, process improvement, automation, or workflow enhancement will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight reporting and statutory deadlines.
- Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable, with the ability to support both day-to-day finance operations and corporate initiatives.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and integrity in handling financial information and corporate matters.
