Job Summary

The Assistant Manager/Manager will lead communications and content for the Men's National Team, as well as internal and corporate communications across FAS. This role covers public relations, content creation, and communications to support the FAS overall communication strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Men's National Team Communications

- Develop and execute communication strategies for the Men's National Team.
- Serve as media officer, managing press relations, announcements, and interviews.
- Lead content strategy and content creation for FAS digital platforms, including previews, reports and features.
- Coordinate media activities and media coverage during training camps, matches, and tournaments.

Corporate Communications

- Manage communications for FAS departments.
- Ensure timely and consistent messaging across internal channels.
- Support communications elements of internal events such as FAS Congress, annual reports, and staff briefings.
- Oversee corporate communications to media, sponsors, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment of messaging with FAS branding, tone, and strategic objectives.
- Support stakeholder communications for events, campaigns, and announcements.
- Monitor media and social media coverage for MNT & FAS, providing insights and reporting to senior management.
- Contribute to crisis communications planning and execution when needed.

Event & Campaign Communications

- Plan and coordinate communications for key events, including press conferences, launches, and stakeholder engagements.
- Work with vendors, freelancers, and agencies to deliver high-quality event coverage and campaigns.

General

- Support departmental operations and wider corporate communications priorities as needed.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Chief of Marketing & Communications.

Requirements

- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in communications, media relations, sports PR, or digital content.
- Experience handling press, interviews, or event-based communications is preferred.
- Background in sports or fast-paced environments (newsroom, agency, entertainment) is an advantage.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills across digital and traditional platforms.
- Confident in managing media relations and coordinating press activities.
- Solid understanding of content strategy, social media, and audience engagement.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Sound judgement, especially in sensitive or time-critical situations.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel for matches or training camps.
