Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis to develop new services that achieve both high profitability and good vessel on-time performance
- Implement service enhancement to existing loops aimed at further improving profitability and vessels on-time performance
- Work with stakeholders to develop response plans and take measures to mitigate the commercial impact, in the event of vessel schedule delays or other issues
- Closely track and analyse profit and loss (P&L) trends, identify the factors causing deviations from targets and forecasts, and take the necessary measures
- Update service information on the company's website and draft Customer Advisory documents as requested by the Marketing team
- Prepare internal documents as required by the deadline
- (Manager) Serve as a role model for junior staff and provide good training to them through day to day work
Requirements
- Degree in relevant field
- 8 to 10 years of practical experience in the liner shipping business or similar operations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good research and information synthesis capabilities, with quantitative and analytical skills
- Proactive mindset to identify opportunities for process optimization and technological advancement
- Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Able to foster a collaborative and accountable work environment
- Practical work experience in sales or front-office operations at a container shipping company is a plus
- Knowledge of AI is a plus
