Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis to develop new services that achieve both high profitability and good vessel on-time performance
  • Implement service enhancement to existing loops aimed at further improving profitability and vessels on-time performance
  • Work with stakeholders to develop response plans and take measures to mitigate the commercial impact, in the event of vessel schedule delays or other issues
  • Closely track and analyse profit and loss (P&L) trends, identify the factors causing deviations from targets and forecasts, and take the necessary measures
  • Update service information on the company's website and draft Customer Advisory documents as requested by the Marketing team
  • Prepare internal documents as required by the deadline
  • (Manager) Serve as a role model for junior staff and provide good training to them through day to day work

Requirements

  • Degree in relevant field
  • 8 to 10 years of practical experience in the liner shipping business or similar operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good research and information synthesis capabilities, with quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proactive mindset to identify opportunities for process optimization and technological advancement
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Able to foster a collaborative and accountable work environment
  • Practical work experience in sales or front-office operations at a container shipping company is a plus
  • Knowledge of AI is a plus
