Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal & Compliance professional to join a leading multinational organisation with a strong international presence. This role will focus on compliance, sanctions screening and regulatory risk, while also supporting broader ethics and compliance initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance and sanctions screening of business partners, transactions and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor regulatory and sanctions developments across key international markets and assess their impact on the business.
  • Support the development and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on higher-risk business relationships and transactions.
  • Assist with compliance reviews, investigations and risk-related matters.
  • Support the delivery of compliance training and awareness programmes.
  • Contribute to broader compliance areas including anti-bribery & corruption, AML, conflicts of interest and third-party due diligence.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and preparation of compliance updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across different functions and jurisdictions on compliance-related matters.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Compliance or a related discipline.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in sanctions, regulatory, legal or broader compliance.
  • Experience within the maritime, shipping, logistics, trading or other international industries would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with sanctions screening processes and relevant compliance systems/tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good commercial judgement.
  • Able to communicate regulatory and compliance requirements clearly to business stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a multinational environment.
