Assistant Manager, IT

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of IT strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with the school's objectives and IT roadmap.

• Assist in updating the IT Manual and department operational guidelines.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide operational support in the school's transition to cloud-based and SaaS platforms.

• Assist in assessing IT infrastructure and propose improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.

• Provide support to the academic team in the implementation of educational technology tools and the Technology Implementation Plan (TIP).

• Ensure data integrity and security through regular backup and recovery checks under the supervision of the IT Manager.

• Stay informed on current IT trends and best practices propose relevant updates and improvements to the IT Manager.

• Consolidate users IT needs and assist in resource planning and budget monitoring.

• Maintain and monitor IT assets and inventories.

• Supervise day-to-day IT helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues conduct or coordinate basic user training when required.

• Assist in preparing IT-related specifications and obtaining supplier quotations provide recommendations to the IT Manager for procurement.

• Support compliance with regulations including PDPA, cybersecurity requirements, and intellectual property guidelines.

• Contribute to inter-departmental collaborations and support broader IT initiatives as part of the school's strategic goals.

• Assist in the mentoring and development of IT support staff.

• Undertake any ad-hoc duties as requested by Management/ Superior.

Qualifications and Experience

• University Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant IT experience, including team supervision or project coordination, preferably in an educational institution.

• Familiarity with educational technologies, cybersecurity practices, cloud services (e.g., SaaS), and Google Workspace preferred.
