Job Description

  • Lead in driving the Camp Cookhouse QA programs as part of its food safety management system.
  • Drive the enhancement and establishment of best practices in order to meet and exceed food safety requirements.
  • Provide food safety direction or policies in support of NTUC Foodfare's objectives and values, to build best-in-class standards for food safety and regulatory compliance management.
  • Develop or review work streams for better coordination and outcomes among various stakeholders for food safety programs.
  • To conduct food safety & hygiene audits at cookhouses and suppliers, to ensure compliance to the relevant regulatory requirements.
  • To provide food safety technical advisory for stakeholders in working groups or projects.
  • Manage the coordination with internal stakeholders and/or regulatory authorities in relation to compliance to food safety requirements.
  • Able to represent the company when liaising with institutional clients food safety teams and to establish positive rapport with this group of clients.
  • To keep updated of the emerging regulatory environment with regards to food safety-related developments and/or incidents, by anticipating and responding quickly with solutions in order to uphold company professional standing.
  • A key secondary portfolio will be the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS): to maintain and review business contingencies for BU and their key work streams, to ensure compliance to ISO 22301 standards.
  • To prepare reports, conduct trend analysis and perform other tasks/projects, as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or its equivalent, in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the food safety industry. With at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Good track record of motivating staff and influencing stakeholders in support of food safety program implementation and innovation.
  • Good knowledge of HACCP or any Food Safety Management System.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Management System will be advantageous.
