Brief Summary
The Assistant Manager role focuses on overseeing daily hospitality operations to ensure exceptional resident experiences. Collaborating with various stakeholders, this position aims to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily hospitality services across dining, housekeeping, and laundry functions. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, resident-centred services. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and their Next of Kin (NOK). Respond promptly to the needs of residents, families, and visitors, coordinating necessary support and services. Gather and escalate resident feedback to improve overall service quality and experience. Provide on-the-job coaching and supervision to hospitality staff, promoting a resident-first culture. Monitor staff performance against established service standards and support operational matters as the first point of escalation. Maintain accurate inventory records for non-clinical supplies and ensure proper organization within storage areas. Coordinate with various stakeholders to support hospitality service delivery and manage reception activities. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related discipline. Food Safety Certification is advantageous. Relevant experience in hospitality, customer service, food and beverage, or event management. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on service recovery. Ability to lead and develop frontline staff effectively. Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and shifts when necessary.
