As the Assistant Manager, Growth & Lifecycle Marketing, you will be the key enabler behind our subscriber growth engine. You will execute the roadmap for digital acquisition and long-term retention. You aren't just managing campaigns; you are optimising the plumbing of our growth funnel, ensuring that every touchpoint, from the paywall to the renewal email, is data-driven, targeted, and optimised for performance and scalability.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Digital Growth & Funnel Implementation
- Funnel Maintenance: Manage the daily operations of the digital sales funnel, ensuring the paywall and e-shop journeys are seamless and high-performing.
- Test Execution: Coordinate and deploy always-on A/B testing across the sales funnel, documenting results to inform future iterations.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor conversion health and identify technical or UX friction points that require immediate intervention.
2. Lifecycle Operations & Engagement
- Journey Automation: Build and manage automated onboarding and engagement workflows to drive early-stage product adoption.
- CRM Deployment: Execute targeted email, push, and in-app campaigns, utilising audience segmentation to deliver personalised subscriber experiences.
- Internal Synergy: Act as a bridge between the Consumer, Product, and Editorial teams to ensure marketing triggers align with the publications focus and news moments.
3. Retention & Recovery Workstreams
- Churn Mitigation: Implement preemptive save campaigns for at-risk segments based on data-driven behavioural triggers.
- Payment Success: Manage dunning processes and communication flows to minimise involuntary churn from payment failures.
- Win-back Cycles: Execute the re-acquisition roadmap for lapsed subscribers, focusing on offer testing and incentive optimisation.
Who are we looking for
Skills
- Growth Marketing & CRM: Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools and CMS platforms.
- Analytical Proficiency: Comfortable analysing cohort performance and navigating data tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple campaign timelines simultaneously with high attention to detail.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Ability to identify bottlenecks in the funnel and propose actionable solutions.
Working Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in digital marketing, growth, or CRM/lifecycle roles.
- Experience in a subscription-based business is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
