Roles and Responsibilities
- Be assigned to one of the teams under Global Vessel Operations to gain hands-on experience, including weather routing, stowage planning support, schedule planning, and vessel operations coordination
- Support the global routing advisory, stowage planning, and vessel micro-management teams and train operations staff to strengthen their marine-related knowledge and provide ongoing technical support
- Create and distribute general sailing instructions and other essential circulars to vessels
- Assess and approve port calls for newly chartered vessels
- Provide marine assistance in the event of emergencies or incidents involving vessels in the fleet
- Conduct vessel visits and work closely with Masters to enhance operational efficiency
- Assist in the development and review of newbuilding specifications
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of 2nd Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Sailing experience on container vessels
- Solid understanding of container vessel operations
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
