We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join its financial reporting team as an assistant manager/manager.
This role is suited for someone who is not only hands-on with financial reporting and month-end close but also able to review work, improve finance processes, manage stakeholders and support finance-related projects.
You will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, strong controls and audit readiness within a structured statutory board environment.
Responsibilities:
Review and support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, property tax and investment-related accounting entries.
Review financial schedules, reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting packs to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee asset-related matters, including fixed asset / minor asset tracking, stocktake, depreciation, disposal schedules and capital expenditure reporting.
Prepare, review and submit regular financial reports and statutory submissions, including GST returns, Department of Statistics submissions and other finance-related reporting requirements.
Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders on annual audit matters, audit schedules, supporting documents and audit queries.
Support the review and application of finance policies, accounting standards and FRS / SFRS requirements.
Drive or support finance process improvement initiatives, including reporting enhancements, workflow improvements, system changes, UAT, data validation and control improvements.
Required Skills:
Degree in accountancy, finance, business or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA / CA Singapore will be advantageous.
5–8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, finance operations, accounting, audit, fixed assets, month-end close or controllership.
Prior experience reviewing journals, reconciliations, reporting schedules, GST workings, audit schedules or junior team members work.
Strong hands-on knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet schedules, variance analysis and audit support.
Experience with fixed assets, depreciation, CAPEX reporting, asset disposals, stocktake or asset-related accounting matters.
Familiarity with GST, statutory reporting, Department of Statistics submissions, IRAS-related matters or other regulatory reporting requirements.
Good understanding of accounting standards such as FRS / SFRS, IFRS or equivalent.
Experience supporting process improvement, finance projects, system enhancements, UAT, automation or reporting workflow improvements.
