Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for assigned business units/entities in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and within stipulated reporting timelines
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and upload financial data to Tagetik for Group reporting by the required deadlines
- Liaise with business units and Finance Operations to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue and expenses
- Analyse monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) variances and provide explanations for significant fluctuations
- . Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and ensure timely clearance of outstanding reconciliation items
- Prepare tax schedules and supporting documentation for the Group Tax Department, including responding to tax-related queries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy of cash records
- Support annual stock take exercises, incentive computations, and other financial reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial controls, and company SOPs
- Support the Finance Manager in supervising team members and participate in process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects
Requirement
- Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, or partially qualified ACCA
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in a similar role
- Prior audit experience is preferred
- Experience in MNCs or the healthcare industry is an advantage
- Experience handling a large portfolio with multiple legal entities
- Familiarity with shared services environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of month-end closing, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Good analytical, organisational, and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems experience with Tagetik is an advantage
- Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting tight reporting deadlines
