Job Description

Join us as an Assistant Manager and play a role in uplifting families and inspiring young minds. You will provide casework support to low-income families and individuals in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges. You will also lead our mentoring and tutoring programmes, working closely with and guiding volunteers to create meaningful experiences for the academically weak upper primary/lower secondary school students.

Responsibilities

a) Case Management

  • Assess and recommend appropriate financial assistance and other forms of support to families and individuals
  • Support and monitor families progress in improving their resources and coping abilities
  • Supervise and guide new or junior caseworkers in developing their skills and competencies in case management practice

b) Programme Management

  • Manage the operation and implementation of the programme to ensure objectives are met
  • Organise and coordinate activities that promote beneficiaries development as well as strengthen family bonds and resilience
  • Guide and support team members

c) Stakeholders Management

  • Engage and collaborate with volunteers, partners and vendors in programme planning and implementation
  • Manage, develop and empower volunteers to enhance their capabilities and contribute to the programme

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Has passion to work with low-income families, students and volunteers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude
  • Strong organizing skills with the ability to work in teams and independently
  • Able to engage with English / Mandarin / dialect speaking families
  • Willing to work on Saturday. Off-in-lieu will be provided.
