Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic team player to contribute to international and industrial relations, and capability development activities within the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute (SNRSI). This position will require collaboration with global and industry partners, coordination of training programs, formulation of international engagement strategies and strengthening national and regional expertise in nuclear safety, engineering and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate international engagement strategies, manage international cooperation and out-bound and in-bound capability development initiatives arising from such cooperations (e.g. attachments, collaborative workstreams, regional centres). This should be done in close coordination with national international relations units (e.g. MFA, MTI and MSE family).
- Build partnerships with international nuclear agencies (e.g., IAEA), foreign Technical Support Organisations (TSOs), and research institutions.
- Plan, organise and execute international/regional engagement events and meetings, e.g. ASEAN Nuclear Power Safety Research (NPSR) Network
- Coordinate and develop national and international training programs to enhance nuclear safety and owner/developer/operator technical expertise for the Singapore ecosystem of government agencies and potential industry partners, and for the ASEAN region.
- Align capability development activities with national energy policy, regulatory requirements, and international best practices.
The level of the position will be commensurate with the candidate's relevant years of experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Events Management, Engineering, Science, International Relations, or related field.
- 3-5 years working experience required. Preference for experience in relevant fields (eg: international relations, nuclear energy, regulatory support, or international technical cooperation).
- Excellent communication (spoken and written), event programming, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with IAEA standards and TSO functions.
- Strategic thinker with global awareness of nuclear governance.
- Skilled relationship-builder across diverse cultural and technical contexts.
