Assistant Manager, E-Commerce Buying & Merchandising

Job Highlights:

Key Responsibilities

Buying & Merchandising

• Develop and implement buying strategies based on sales trends, inventory levels, and market insights

• Source and evaluate suppliers on pricing, quality, reliability, and compliance

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and delivery schedules to optimise margins and inventory efficiency

E-Commerce Operations

• Manage daily e-commerce operations, including order processing, fulfilment coordination, and customer service support

• Monitor platform performance and ensure smooth operations across all online channels

• Ensure product listings, pricing, and content are accurate and up to date

Marketing & Campaigns

• Plan and execute promotional activities such as bundles, discounts, and vouchers

• Manage online storefront content including banners, categories, and product placements

• Support campaign execution to drive traffic, engagement, and sales conversion

Customer Experience

• Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and returns

• Implement improvements to enhance overall customer satisfaction

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and analyse sales, inventory, and performance reports

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, or related field

• At least 4-5 years of experience in e-commerce, buying, merchandising, or retail operations

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopee, Lazada, Shopify) is advantageous

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills

• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
