Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Odoo Implementation & Support leads end-to-end deployment and continuous enhancement of the Odoo ERP platform, driving operational excellence and user adoption across Finance, HR, Sales, Inventory, Project, and other core business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle Odoo ERP implementations by gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring modules, conducting testing, deploying systems, and providing post-go-live support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Translate complex business processes into detailed Odoo functional designs across Accounting, HR, Payroll, Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Project, and Manufacturing modules to align system capabilities with organizational needs.
- Support data migration efforts by preparing and validating master data, opening balances, and historical transactional data to ensure data accuracy and integrity during system transitions.
- Assist in integrating Odoo with third-party platforms such as payroll systems, banking interfaces, Microsoft 365, BI tools, and e-commerce platforms to enhance system interoperability.
- Configure Odoo modules, workflows, approval matrices, access controls, and reporting features based on evolving business requirements to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal or external developers to clarify functional specifications and validate custom developments, ensuring adherence to Odoo best practices and upgrade compatibility.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, process flows, user guides, and standard operating procedures to support system usability and knowledge transfer.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support by analyzing issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving incidents to maintain system stability and user satisfaction.
- Manage incident, problem, and change requests related to Odoo enhancements and bug fixes, coordinating with vendors or Odoo partners for escalated support and patch management.
- Monitor system performance, data integrity, and user feedback to proactively identify and address platform stability concerns.
- Establish and uphold the Group's cybersecurity policies and controls to safeguard system security and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and industry standards including PDPA, ISO, and GovTech requirements by overseeing technology risk management, resilience planning, and incident response readiness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support audits, assessments, and assurance activities, ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards.
- Conduct user training sessions, system walkthroughs, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support to drive smooth adoption and effective use of the Odoo platform.
- Serve as the functional point of contact for business users post-implementation, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Support change management initiatives by aligning system updates with business readiness and communication strategies to facilitate seamless transitions.
- Ensure Odoo configurations comply with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
- Support data protection, security, and access governance policies to protect sensitive information and maintain compliance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize workflows, automate processes, and enhance reporting efficiency for continuous improvement.
- Participate in ERP roadmap planning and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive platform evolution and business growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Sales, Operations, IT, and external partners to ensure solution alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Assist project managers by tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, providing regular status updates and functional insights to management.
