Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Perform the duties of a Registered Workplace Safety Officer (WSHO) to ensure that resort's daily operations are carried out in accordance with the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislative requirements.

  • Liaise with Business Units on safety and fire safety related matters.
  • Provide advice to Business Units on WSH risks, governance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a WSH Management System in accordance with ISO45001 requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of (not limiting to) documents, equipment, tools, premises to ensure they are properly maintained and in compliance with WSH and Fire safety standards and requirements.
  • Monitor Contractor, Vendor and Supplier (CVS) including maintaining and administrating electronic Permit-to-Work (ePTW) system, reviewing documents submission via ePTW, conducting site inspections, compiling statistics and communication.
  • Consolidate and generate WSH and/or Fire Safety reports.
  • Conduct regular review of documents within the Business Unit from a WSH and Fire Safety POV to ensure they remain relevant and up-to-date and implement changes where applicable.
  • Conduct incident investigation into all WSH and fire safety related incidents to identify root cause and implement necessary measures to mitigate or eliminate the hazard.
  • Regularly review incident trends to evaluate effectiveness of existing safety measures and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Partake, arrange and coordinate in the monthly WSH Working Committee, including preparation of presentation and statistics
  • Lead/Support ISO45001K - preparation, Internal Audit, Management Review and External Audit.
  • Any other work arranged by the Business Unit (BU) HOD.

Job Requirements:

  • MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Fire Safety Manager (FSM)
  • Minimally Diploma academic qualification (in WSH-related area will be an advantage)
  • ISO45001 Auditor (Lead/Internal)
  • Familiar with local laws and regulations on Workplace Safety & Health and Fire Safety
  • Experienced in conducting safety related trainings
  • Experienced in managing contractors and vendors
  • Familiar with safety management skill, excellent communication skills & high efficiency of execution
  • Microsoft 365 soft-skill set (intermediate and above)
