Job Description

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay aims to be the pride of Singapore, loved by its people and the world's best. This role involves assisting in developing year-round content for the Esplanade Offstage platform, a digital reference point for the arts in Singapore and Asia, which aims to broaden access to and deepen engagement with the performing arts. The role will contribute to the growth of the EsplanadeOffstage platform through compelling digital content that amplifies Asian artistic voices.

You will support all corporate and editorial activities with the objective of establishing Esplanade's presence and strengthening its reputation in Singapore and internationally. You will help to ensure quality, timeliness and effectiveness of all content produced. You must be fully aware of all activities of the centre which have a bearing on information and narratives being communicated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content strategy, planning and management for the EsplanadeOffstage platform including management of ideating, planning and creation of content for various target audiences of the platform, including casual arts-goers, arts enthusiasts, youth, families with children, and schools.
  • Manage the production of content such as videos, articles, interactive digital content and podcasts through working with internal teams and external vendors, partners, creatives and writers, and ensuring quality control for work delivered.
  • Track itsperformance and develop and refine content strategies where needed including publishing content on the site's content management system and other related hosting platforms.
  • Promote EsplanadeOffstage content on Esplanade's channels, including social media, media screens and collaterals around the centre and EsplanadeOffstage e-newsletter.
  • Perform video and basic audio editing for EsplanadeOffstage, and adapt into publish-ready, platform-specific formats such as reels, social posts, carousels, and short-form videos.
  • Work with Programming colleagues to identify suitable performances for recording for streaming on EsplanadeOffstage
  • Copywriting and editing related to Esplanade's programmes and website / EsplanadeOffstage content
  • Administering contracts to external vendors, creatives, writers and other parties
  • Able to plan, manage and monitor budgets with some supervision
  • Good knowledge of brand guidelines and its applications, brand positioning and monitoring brand sentiments
  • Understands marketing performance metrics. Able to use simple data visualisation tools to perform simple analysis and generate reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field of Arts & Social Sciences
  • At least three to four years relevant working experience.
  • Proven track record in content ideation and managing production processes in a digital environment.
  • Solid creative writing and communication skills in English are essential for this job, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences across multiple channels.
  • Ability to ideate and generate innovative, engaging content for varied audiences.
  • Working proficiency in video editing tools, including basic audio editing.
  • Basic photo editing proficiency and design capability using image editing tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
  • Some familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to refine content for organic reach.
  • Some experience in using visualisation tools to perform basic analysis and generate reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A general knowledge of the arts and creative industries / social media & communications landscape is important.
  • Salary range : $4,000 - $4,300
