Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Compensation & Benefits and Global Mobility provides operational and analytical support in administering compensation, employee benefits, and global mobility programmes. This global role ensures accurate and timely process execution, compliance with policies and regulations, and effective employee service delivery. The successful candidate identifies process gaps and recommends solutions to improve systems, operations, and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Support annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, and incentive programmes to ensure timely and accurate compensation adjustments
- Configure, test, and validate compensation planning systems to facilitate smooth salary review and bonus exercises
- Investigate system or process issues and recommend practical solutions to maintain operational efficiency
- Compile and analyse market-benchmarking data and coordinate salary survey submissions to inform compensation decisions
- Prepare compensation costing, analysis, and reports to support management review and decision-making
- Collect, analyse, and document data for job evaluation projects to promote grading consistency
- Administer employee benefits programmes including insurance, medical, recognition, and wellness benefits to enhance employee engagement
- Coordinate benefits roadshows, employee engagement activities, and communications to promote benefits awareness
- Liaise with external vendors and respond to employee benefits queries to ensure service quality
- Review benefits invoices for accuracy and ensure timely processing to maintain financial control
- Coordinate intercompany billing for benefits charges to ensure correct cost allocation
- Facilitate international assignments and employee relocations in compliance with global mobility policies to support workforce mobility
- Act as first point of contact for assignees and HR teams on mobility policies, allowances, and processes to provide clear guidance
- Support employees throughout pre-assignment, assignment, and post-assignment stages to ensure smooth transitions
- Coordinate with immigration, tax, and relocation service providers to manage compliance and logistics
- Track assignment documents, timelines, and regulatory compliance requirements to mitigate risks
- Review global mobility invoices for accuracy and ensure timely processing to control costs
- Coordinate intercompany billing and allocation of mobility-related charges to maintain financial accuracy
- Recommend solutions or workarounds for mobility challenges to support timely and compliant execution
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews to uphold regulatory standards
- Ensure processes comply with internal policies, Singapore employment regulations, and global mobility requirements to minimize compliance risks
- Monitor documentation and operational controls to reduce compliance risks and improve governance
- Prepare regular reports on compensation, benefits utilisation, and global mobility metrics to inform management decisions
- Analyse HR data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain accurate and reliable data across HR systems and vendor platforms to ensure data integrity
- Support HR system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives related to compensation, benefits, and global mobility to improve efficiency
- Assist in streamlining processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience
- Proactively identify process or system gaps and recommend practical improvements or alternative solutions to optimize operations
- Participate in compensation, benefits, and global mobility projects as required to support organisational goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Three to five years of relevant HR experience with direct involvement in Compensation & Benefits and Global Mobility
- Hands-on experience with compensation planning systems and external benefits or global mobility vendor platforms
- Experience supporting HR system integrations, data validation, or system testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
- Experience coordinating with immigration, tax, and relocation service providers
- Knowledge of Singapore employment regulations and global mobility compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines
- Good stakeholder-management, vendor-management, and communication skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to recommend practical solutions when operational or system issues arise
