Job Description

Role Summary

This role leads the development and execution of Epworth Community Services Brand, Marketing, and Communications initiatives to strengthen awareness, engagement, and impact. It drives the creation of content, messaging, campaigns, and media pitches that reflect Epworth's mission, values, and programmes.

This hands-on role will be looking into the production of high-quality brand, marketing and communications content to ensure clear, accurate messaging across multiple platforms. The role translates organisational priorities into compelling storytelling, marketing materials, and media-ready content that supports Epworth's programmes, fundraising efforts, and reputation.

Working closely with internal teams, including Community Relations (Volunteer Management and Fundraising) and programme teams, as well as partners and vendors, the role delivers integrated campaigns, fundraising initiatives, community events, and media outreach.

Through effective branding strategies, compelling writing, media pitching, visual storytelling, and content creation, the role develops impactful narratives that inspire donors, volunteers, partners, and the public to support Epworth's mission.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Awareness & Identity

. Manage and strengthen Epworth's brand identity, ensuring all communications reflect the organisation's mission, values, and programmes.

. Plan and execute campaigns that support programmes, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement, amplifying the organisation's impact.

. Produce video and audio content to tell compelling stories of Epworth's work, beneficiaries, and community initiatives.

. Develop collaterals and visual designs across print and digital platforms to communicate programme impact and engage stakeholders.

. Maintain website content and UX to provide clear, accessible, and engaging information for donors, volunteers, partners, and the public.

. Develop pitches and materials that reflect Epworth's brand and mission.

2. Media & Communications

. Manage and grow Epworth's social media platforms through content planning, storytelling, and engagement strategies.

. Develop internal communications for staff and external communications for donors, volunteers, and partners.

. Coordinate media outreach and engagement, including liaising with media partners.

. Assist with crisis communications as required.

. Coordinate production of quarterly newsletters, impact reports, and annual reports.

. Ensure consistency in tone of voice and messaging across all communication channels.

. Support development and adherence to media and social media policies.

. Monitor performance of campaigns, events, and communications, providing insights and reporting to inform improvements.

3. Project, Stakeholder & Event Management

In collaboration with the rest of the Community Relations, Communications and Fundraising team, this role plans and executes integrated campaigns, fundraising initiatives, community events, employee programmes, and organisation-wide projects-coordinating timelines, vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effectively delivery aligned to Epworth's priorities.

Requirements

. Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field.

. 4-6 years of relevant experience in marketing, branding, or communications.

. Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and messaging skills.

. Experience in video production, visual design, and managing digital platforms.

. Ability to conceptualise creative ideas and translate them into actionable plans for execution.

. Experience managing social media and marketing campaigns.

. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

. Strong organisational and project management skills.

. Experience in the social service or non-profit sector is advantageous.

. Self-starter, able to work outside office hours on occasion.

. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as a team player.
