Position Overview:
This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities, developing innovative AM solutions, and converting leads into orders, with a focus on defense, security, and commercial markets. The position involves both local and international business development activities and requires a go-getter attitude with a deep technical understanding of AM technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in defense, security, and commercial sectors.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads, nurturing them from initial interest to final sale.
Solution Development
- Design and propose customized Additive Manufacturing solutions based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically viable and innovative.
Order Conversion
- Convert business leads into successful orders by understanding customer requirements and delivering solutions that meet their needs.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring mutual benefit.
Market Expansion
- Focus on expanding the AM business in both local and international markets.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and tailor business strategies accordingly.
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Present and demonstrate AM capabilities to stakeholders at various levels.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and production, to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives.
- Provide feedback and insights to internal teams for continuous improvement of products and services.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth in the Additive Manufacturing space.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine business strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- B.Sc/B.Engg in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Additive Manufacturing, or related discipline).
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the Additive Manufacturing or similar industries.
- Proven track record of generating and closing sales in a technical or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of Additive Manufacturing technologies and applications, particularly in the defense, security, and commercial sectors.
