As part of Income's Actuarial Pricing Team, candidate will work closely and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver business-oriented, customer-focused and innovative insurance solutions. This role is intended for an experienced individual contributor who can independently deliver health pricing workstreams while working under guidance from senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Close collaboration with Product Development Team and relevant business stakeholders to design and devise innovative product proposition and support product pricing and implementation, while ensuring internal financial metrics are met.
- Work closely with Manager, Head of GH Pricing, Chief Actuary and other senior stakeholders, as required, to support and contribute actuarial analysis and pricing recommendations aligned with company product strategy for the health business.
- Monitor portfolio experience, conduct experience studies to set pricing assumptions and perform periodic repricing exercise. Provide insights on key drivers and emerging risks. Strengthen technical pricing and analytics for the team tapping on data-driven insights using external and internal data sources
- Adopt best practices and effective controls and monitoring framework in the delivery of pricing work to protect Income against regulatory, financial and reputation risk.
- Enhancing Actuarial Pricing Process to improve efficiency, robustness and turnaround time.
- Adopt design‑thinking and agile principles, in delivering pricing and product‑related projects
Qualifications:
- Good progress in actuarial qualifications with either US, UK, or Australia Actuarial Institute, with at least 4 years of work experience in Actuarial function.
- Experienced in health and protection product development and pricing
- Experience in using actuarial modelling tool and data software such as Prophet & Alteryx will be a plus
- Able to work independently with strong project management, communication and actuarial technical skills.
- Confident in constructively challenging the status quo and proposing improvements to drive better outcomes
- Adaptable and open to dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working.
- Experience in stakeholder management and/or project‑based work.
