We are looking for a motivatedAssistant Manager to support the Superintendent in overseeing operations whilestrengthening governance, policy development, and compliance within the WelfareHome.
This role is ideal for someonewho enjoys improving systems, developing SOPs, and ensuring quality standardsin a care environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or related fields
- 4-8 years of relevant experience inoperations, governance or compliance
- Experience in SOP development,policy drafting or quality assurance is preferred
- Strong analytical, writing anddocumentation skills
- Ability to work independently andengage stakeholders across departments
- Familiarity with MSF or healthcare/social service regulations is an advantage
Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Support the Superintendent in planning and overseeing daily operations of the Home
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and assist with manpower planning and scheduling
- Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth service delivery and operational efficiency
Resident Care & Quality Assurance
- Monitor service quality and ensure residents needs are met in accordance with care plans
- Handle and follow up on resident and family feedback or concerns
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care standards
Governance, Policy & Compliance
- Develop, review, and implement SOPs and policies inline with MSF and regulatory requirements
- Draft and maintain key policies, including:
- Resident management and care procedures
- Medication and restraint SOPs
- Visitor management and PDPA-related policies
- Complaints and grievance handling processes
- Conduct policy reviews and gap analysis, ensuring alignment across departments
- Ensure compliance with licensing, audits, and inspection requirements
- Support audits, incident reviews, investigations, and corrective action plans
- Monitor adherence to SOPs and drive standardisation of processes
Staff Supervision &Development
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Provide supervision, guidance, and resolve day-to-day operational issues
- Assist in staff performance reviews and development planning
Administrative & Financial Support
- Support budget monitoring, procurement, and inventory control
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes
Work Location
The Welfare Home provides care for destitute persons, and the work location will be at Buangkok Green.
Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village is a seven-storey facility with a capacity of 190 beds, catering to male destitute persons. The workplace is located at Buangkok Green.
