Job Description

Our client is a leading chemical provider. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Assistant Logistics Manager to support and strengthen their operations team. They are located in the West- easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Order & Drop Shipment Management (APAC)
    Process and execute drop shipment orders from sales/customers across APAC, ensuring accurate order handling, consolidation, and timely coordination with internal teams, planners, forwarders, warehouses, and customers.

  • Logistics Coordination & Shipment Execution: Coordinate with shipping teams, transporters, and forwarders to ensure smooth shipment flow, including cost-effective logistics planning, import clearance, delivery scheduling, and minimising demurrage risks.

  • Documentation, Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and manage shipping documents (including LC, insurance, BL, COA, and import/export paperwork), ensure accuracy, and provide regular reports such as open order updates and OTIF performance tracking.

  • Import Shipment & Isotank Operations Management (DKSG): Oversee import shipments, including isotanker tracking, document verification, port clearance, delivery monitoring, and ensuring efficient handling to avoid storage delays and additional costs.

  • Financial Verification & System Processing: Verify and process invoices (forwarders, transporters, GST/SST), perform GRN for incoming shipments, and ensure accurate system updates for stock visibility and timely payment processing.

  • Cross-Functional Support, Project Orders & Backup Operations: Support Green Project order processing, sales coordination, QC liaison, and inventory activities, while also providing backup support for local deliveries, tolling/blending, exports, and stock take activities.

Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or equivalent

  • 5-6 years working experience in relevant field

  • Experience in Logistics, Import/Export/LC/Customer Service, Purchasing

  • Experience in Oracle, SAP, Microsoft office
