Job summary
This role reports to the Head of IT, works closely with peer managers and key stakeholders across the organization.
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Organisation's IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and system operations to ensure security, stability, and business continuity across retail and coffee room operations. The role oversees infrastructure and store setup projects, manages vendors, supports business-critical systems including POS and ERP platforms, and leads IT support initiatives to maintain high system availability and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in Windows administration, networking, firewalls, Active Directory, VPNs, virtualization, AWS/Azure cloud platforms, Microsoft 365, and retail IT environments. Strong project management, troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills are essential in supporting the fast-paced operations of our businesses.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing IT infrastructure and IT operations projects in alignment with organisational goals.
- Ensure that all networks and infrastructure equipment, application systems and services, cloud infrastructure and appliance are running smooth.
- Ensure network architecture is sound and business continuity protocols are in compliant with disaster recovery planning.
- Lead and supervise a team of IT junior team members, while working closely with management, peers and external vendors.
- Work with members from the Application Team to meet project timelines and ensure 100% uptime for application servers.
- You are the gatekeeper for systems and network security access.
- Project-managing (track, monitor and status report) on all infrastructure projects to stakeholders and management.
- Manage all store/site renovation projects to ensure smooth operations while meeting the timeline.
- Manage vendors and suppliers to ensure deliverables, cost effectiveness and timeliness of services/products.
- Assist in preparation of department budgets, and presenting proposals to senior executives
- Involve in ad hoc projects and tasks as and when assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline minimally.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in similar or related role.
- Candidate should possess relevant hands-on experience in Windows, Networking and Firewall administration, Active Directory, VMs, VPNs, AWS/ Azure Cloud administration, M365 and sharepoint administration, Teams administration, configuring and troubleshooting network & VPN connectivity issues.
- Experienced working in Retail, F&B or Hospitality industry.
- Experienced in at least one POS and/or ERP systems in terms of hardware setup and application configuration.
- Experienced in building-up and configure new servers, new firewalls and network infrastructure from scratch will be considered in priority.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and problem-solving skills.
- Disciplined and willing to take on any challenges while being a team player, adhering to team protocols.
- Able to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond to changing deadlines and priorities while paying attention to details and corporate norms.
- Occasional travelling might be required.
Candidates with the following competencies will be considered with priority
- Experienced in administrating ticketing systems like JIRA, DevOps, Microsoft Planner.
- Proficient in Mandarin or French (written and spoken) is essential to liaise with our working associates in North-Asia, France, Morocco.
