This role is a dynamic blend of high-level individual contributorship and team leadership. You will oversee the daily revenue auditing processes for a portfolio of hotels in Singapore, ensuring financial accuracy, internal control compliance, and the professional development of a dedicated income audit team.
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of Income Auditors, ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately (compliance to SOP) and within strict deadlines.
- Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching to elevate the team's technical capabilities.
- Resource Allocation: Manage team workflows to ensure consistent coverage across all properties in the Singapore portfolio.
2. Income Auditing & Revenue Assurance (Individual Contributor)
- Daily Verification: Verify the accuracy of all revenue-related data, including room charges and miscellaneous income streams.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigating variances flagged out and ensuring all anomalies are resolved promptly. Co-ordinate professionally with leadership on discrepancies pertaining to group wide risk.
- Revenue Closing: Consolidate, review and prepare monthly revenue closing journals to support month end closing procedures.
3. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure all auditing processes strictly adhere to company policies and Singapore's regulatory financial standards.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring a clean trail for all revenue transactions.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current auditing workflows and propose automation or streamlining initiatives to improve efficiency.
4. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly revenue reports (or any other ad hoc reports as required by management) for the Senior Finance Manager and the Director of Finance.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with Front Office, Reservations Team and Sales teams to address billing and room rates issues and improve revenue capture at the source.
5. Others
- Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.
Job Requirement
- At least 5 years of experience in hotel finance or income audit, with prior experience in a supervisory or senior capacity.
Proficiency in Hotel Management Systems (PMS) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
