The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for leading HR Operations, ensuring smooth delivery of HR services, policies, and programs, while driving improvement initiatives that leverage automation and digitalization to enhance team efficiency and organizational performance. This position reports to the Head of HR, Leica Instruments (Singapore) and is part of the HR Department located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive HR operations initiatives and processes (including full employee life cycle management and HR vendor management), aligned with business strategy to support both organizational and departmental goals.

  • Lead the design and administration of benefits programs, oversee outsourced payroll, and manage post-merit cycle processes.

  • Foster a culture of engagement, manage employee welfare programs, lead and oversee engagement events.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process simplification, automation, and digitalization manage HR systems and resolve related issues.

  • Manage corporate and regulatory reporting. Ensure audit readiness and compliance with Regulatory, Quality, and EHS requirements represent HR in internal and external audits.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in any discipline. A postgraduate diploma in HRM will be an added advantage.

  • At least 7 years of relevant HR Operations experience with some multi-national company experience, ideally with exposure working in a medium-sized unionized organization.

  • Well-versed with the Singapore Employment Act, work pass and other related regulations.

  • Experience in overseeing Singapore payroll is a must.

  • Knowledge in using analytical and process automation tools is critical.
