We are looking for a skilled Assistant Head Chef to support daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality Japanese cuisine.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely food preparation
- Deliver consistent food quality by maintaining high standards in presentation, taste, and portion control
- Collaborate in menu planning and implement seasonal updates to enhance customer experience
- Monitor and control food cost, track inventory levels, and minimize wastage to optimize resources
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to improve performance and maintain team cohesion
- Enforce hygiene and food safety standards to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure customer safety
Required competencies and certifications
- Experience in preparing Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, and hot kitchen dishes
- Ability to support and manage kitchen operations effectively
- Basic knowledge of food cost control and inventory management
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments
