Job Description

  • Assist the Head Bartender in overseeing the bar staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards and policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to bartenders, barbacks, and other team members.
  • Assume a leadership role in the absence of the Head Bartender.
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure that all service procedures are carried out to the standards required
  • Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure that the bar staff maintains a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist in managing and controlling the bar inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
  • Work with the Head Bartender to implement cost control measures.
  • Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of drinks by monitoring preparation methods and recipes.
  • Conduct taste tests and quality checks to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Bartender to create and update drink menus.
  • Other ad-hoc duty as assigned

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Knowledge of liquor laws and ensure that they are adhered to all times without fail
  • Strong performance management and coaching skills
  • At least 3 years of management experience
  • Good drinks product knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving
  • Service orientated
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and fast paced environment
