Job Requirements:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Logistics Department especially Sea Freight
- Formulate and execute departmental strategies, goals, and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business vision and growth objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Continuously monitor operational performance to drive efficiency, productivity, and service excellence.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
- Understand client requirements and provide customized logistics solutions that deliver value.
- Prepare competitive and accurate quotations to support customer needs and business growth.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with logistics vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct rate negotiations to secure competitive pricing and service terms.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure service quality and reliability.
- Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, cost management, and profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue while optimizing operational costs.
- Track financial and operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Produce performance and achievement reports providing insights into operational metrics, financial results, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to cargo handling, customs regulations, and logistics security.
- Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, cost management, and profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue while optimizing operational costs.
- Track financial and operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Produce performance and achievement reports providing insights into operational metrics, financial results, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Degree in Logistics / Business or equivalent disciplines with at least 10 years of relevant experience inLogistics / Freight Forwarding / Supply Chain
- Possess strong knowledge and experience in Sea Freight
- Familiarity with logistics systems, operational reporting, and performance metrics (KPIs)
- Proven leadership experience managing logistics operations and leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in customer relationship management, including handling key accounts and providing logistics solutions to clients
- Understanding of Singapore's import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation
